Thanks. We saw her again today and she seemed to be doing fairly well. Sounds like she is on track to go home tomorrow. Hopefully that happens because she is more than ready too!
Oh geez cosy, I'm sorry to hear that! You need to rest up and feel better!

that's good news! Hope she continues to get better!
I feel better for a while, then my fever comes back or I start coughing up a lung, would really like to choke whomever gifted me this
been having lovely weather though---guess some folks dont appreciate the cooler temps we have been having, I (and my hardworking hubby) love to see the lower electric bills from not having to have the a/c on all day! Though havent been able to go any where to really enjoy the temps with this dang cold, unlike whomever the evil doer was, dont wish to pass this one on (its not a nice one at all--had a horrible headache yesterday).

So do I. Hope to hear today that she went home.
I can give you a name, but I can't guarantee that is who gave it to you. But I'll let you choke them anyways.
Weather has been great. But it is going to be getting hot again soon...

Bummer. Maybe send him a nasty note? That would show him!
Very nice out again today as well.
Have a big country music festival happening down the road from us this weekend. Our apartment gave us pink parking passes to put in our cars. Guess if anyone tries to park in here that isn't a resident they will be towed. I'm just hoping that it isn't too loud...

we had our festival for the fourth....they block off all street parking here, yeah it gets noisy late on the weekend, but otherwise not too bad--hope you have the same luck.
well, hubby now has the same crude I have, mine has gotten a bit better--I can sleep now (only on one side and a nasty half hour of coughing when I wake up), but my voice has yet to return (makes it easier to ignore the phone calls ) and my pink eye doesnt look as bad either.

It actually wasn't bad at all. The wife and I went on a walk through the surrounding neighborhood and she could hear a lot of the music. Turned into an hour long walk, but oh well. They were done by 11pm, so not bad at all.
Amazing how that stuff transfers between people... And not in a good way.
Well my grandma is home, so that is definitely a good thing!

good to hear it!
dont think I gave it to him--think we got it from the same person, his immune system is just better at fighting than mine (a fact I have known for a very long time, re-enforced by the commercial saying that 70% of your immune system is in your intestines and I know my intestines are not very good). well at least he knows whats coming.

Same way here. Though usually what I get my wife gets, but I don't always get what she gets. So my immune system is better than hers, which is good for me. Not so much for her. Good for me though since I'm around sick students a lot. Got to stay healthy you know.
Sunday. Laundry day. Warmer today as well. 82 for the high. 92 on Tuesday. Monday is somewhere in between. Crazy...

no plans for today except for possible a few more naps (need to catch up on a week of very little sleep).
warmer today yeah, supposed to get to 90 this week too, ah oh well, so much for the nice cooler summer weather.

Glad you finally got some sleep cosy! Sounds like you are moving in the right direction.
Well we got our laundry done and went on a long walk after dinner. Pretty good day.
88 tomorrow is the expected high. Sounds like the A/C will be coming back on.

good to know you can be domestic!
made stuffed shells for dinner for hubby---from mostly scratch (didnt make the pasta), turned out pretty good, though neither of us has a really good sense of taste right now.
was able to catch a nap too this afternoon, though I did cough for about 40 minutes before I finally was able to fall asleep--the coughing is not like it had been earlier in the week---this is another cold I do not wish on anyone (that one I had last year? with the horrible sore throat would be my first choice to never let another sole get), or perhaps as I have been getting older colds affect me more
am looking forward to having my voice back sometime---though I have a sexy tenor to my voice right now (too bad I am a soprano!)
not looking forward to the next few days---seems our 2nd car has decided that it really doesnt need to have a/c, and well, the other needs to get one of those stupid sensors fixed so we get to drive the 2nd car for a day or so (and right in the 90+ days), guess I really dont neeeeeed to go anywhere for a day or two---

We went round and round with that cough. Seemed worse after laying down, that tickle in the back of the throat. A dose of Alka-Seltzer Cold, 30 minutes before bed, made sleeping much easier.
Over the weekend, trimmed several branches out of the two trees in the front yard. Opened up a few windows of sunlight onto the grass, hoping to let the grass grow under them. Still plenty of shade for us to sit under them and stay "cool."
The 5 year old grandson fractured a bone in his left hand. Not real sure how it happened, other than he was climbing a fence and fell. His hand was somehow wedged in the fence. The instant swelling was a good indication that something was not right.

We had pineapple chicken. Really good stuff. Fairly easy to make too since you just toss the ingredients into a crockpot and let it cook.
My wife seems to have a cough at the moment as well. At least she did yesterday. She woke up early today and didn't appear to be feeling to well. She is sleeping again now, so hopefully it will pass...
My brother's car doesn't have A/C. Which sucks when you live in Cali. He will probably be getting a new car in the next year or so though.
Sorry to hear about your grandson. Definitely not a fun experience. Hope he recovers quickly!

not happy to hear about the cough, would like to get rid of it (my teeth hurt from all the coughing I've been doing ), and yeah, seems to not like a major change in position (from siting/standing to laying down).
ouch on the broken bone--broke a bone in my foot when I lived in japan, wasnt a good feeling, though I thought I had pulled a muscle since I did a LOT of walking (which is actually how I broke it anyways ), at least your grandson can stay off it while it heals.
pineapple chicken sounds good, we are having leftovers from the stuffed shells for dinner (part of why we made it), neither of us really wants to spend too much time not resting.

Ya coughs, especially non-productive ones, are not so much fun. Hopefully it goes away soon!
It is pretty darn good. Especially with rice. Awesome. Lots of leftovers now.
Well I spent the whole day at my parents. My mom called this morning to tell me that her car wouldn't start. Went over to try to jump it. 3 hours and many many tries later, still nothing. Tried everything. Eventually I removed the battery and took it to Interstate Batteries, they tested it and said that it wouldn't even turn the machine on. Super dead battery. Got a new one, popped it in, and ta da. All better. Took way to darn long though... Oh and shift lock, how I hate thee....

ah, dead batteries---know them well, my corolla LOVES to eat them (in the 17 years we have owned the car I think we have had about 10 batteries). We even keep jumper cables in the car just because we know her love of batteries....and speaking of cars, just got back from the toyota dealer, seems its 'give me some attention' car month (got the sensor, hope to not have to take her in again....still have the other one waiting to get some love too).
hot out, really really hot.....(shift lock, lol).

I always travel with jumper cables in my car. Dealt with a dead battery last year in my wife's car. Much easier to deal with since we could jump it. Today's was much worse... And ya, shift lock can go screw itself. In my sister-in-laws car I had to disassemble the center console to get to it. In my mom's I had to pop out the cup holders, which was much easier. My car has a shift lock as well but it appears pretty darn easy to reach.
Going to be even warmer tomorrow. Thank goodness the pool is open!

think mine is old enough (and a toyota like yours) that its in much more accessible spot as well (never had to deal with it --and hope to never have to either).
pool? that would mean going outside and getting horribly burned (my skin barely sees the light of day and burns faster than a klennex tissue!)....so no, no pools here (indoor, nah, I dont even own a bathing suit).
have a good time and remember to use the sunscreen!

Older cars don't seem to have shift locks. I know the old Cutlass didn't and neither did the Camry.
Ya about that Camry... I kinda sold it almost 2 months ago. Bought a 2009 Nissan Altima. Forgot to mention that.
My wife got burned. I got a bit pink, but that will more than likely turn into a tan for me. She on the other hand is burned. I asked her if we needed to buy sunscreen and she said we had some. She just didn't use it. Of course we were in the pool for 3 hours, which is a LONG time. Nephews definitely loved it though.
